So I've decided to start my own blog. "Why," you might ask, "what could an Army brat, Mormon gal, band geek, college student, artist, authoress, singer, actress, football-playing-king-in-space possibly have to say that I haven't heard before?"
Well, I'm still trying to figure that out for myself.
A lot has happened to me throughout my life. I've moved, met new people, seen new things and places, and had a lot of adventures. I've had my highs and lows, challenges and blessings. And here, I hope to talk about a lot of those things that I normally don't get to brag about to a captive audience (you are captive, right?).
The name of my blog may seem a little strange. You see, I meant to start blogging a very long time ago, but the idea of coming up with a title for something that would be a permanent part of the world wide web made the OCD introvert in me crawl into a corner and shiver in the fetal position. I considered "Combat Boots and Sunday Suits," but that title mad it sound like I was a guy trying to find Jesus in the midst of a war. Or is that just me? Anyways, I was talking to an old friend the other day. He asked me to come up with a title for a Facebook group he was creating. I told him it had to be something catchy, and he jokingly named it "Something Catchy." It was then that I realized what a perfect name that would be for this blog, whimsical and open-ended. Here was a place I could write poetry and stories, post random fan art and questions about the mysteries of life.
So, welcome to my little blog. Hope you enjoy it.
